Kitchen Window Dressing Inspirations 9: Be Bold

Bold colours and prints are on-trend this year along with the retro revival as we posted earlier this month. Mix the two together are you have some wonderful inspirations for creating your own unique kitchen window dressing. Option 1: Café Styled Curtains: This style of window dressing is a cross between a café or net style and full curtains. Typically the curtains are made into small width panels and hung from net rails or tension rods, using metal rings, (which can be found under curtain pole spares) approximately one-third of the way up the window casing. This gives you an informal window dressing that would be ideal for country cottages or retro kitchens depending on the fabric and pattern you choose. Most of adore the little bistro styled cafés we see on our holiday – with home-made food and welcoming atmospheres it’s a great idea to emulate this style of kitchen window dressing to bring a quaint touch to our windows which is practical, functional and very stylish. Today we take a look at bistro styled window dressings to get your taste buds tingling! Option 1: Curtains: Café curtains are seeing a huge revival this year. Offering a half-sized window covering you can use a variety of different fabrics to get the look to suit the style of your home. This year’s trend of going natural literally opens windows as to the different types of ways and methods to dress your kitchen windows. Using natural fabrics and materials or adopting a semi-nude style by only dressing the bottom half of your windows is right on-trend this year. Option 1: Curtains: Half curtains hung from net rails or tension rods are a great way to create an informal looking kitchen window dressing. This style enables us to reflect back into the past and yet embraces the current and emerging trends head-on, giving us the best of both worlds and interiors we can personalise.
